Complete this form if you are a faculty member looking to create one of the following pages on wlu.ca. For any other project requests, submit the Digital Experience Project Request Form. If you have any questions, contact us at digitalexperience@wlu.ca.

Faculty Profiles

You are encouraged to take WEB104: Faculty Profile Training to learn more about Cascade and how to edit your profile. You will have editing access to your profile by default. Login to our content management system (CMS), Cascade at wlu.ca/login, using your Laurier network credentials (and the Laurier VPN if working off-campus). If you'd like a lab/research page too, you can request one after your profile is built.

Lab/Research Pages

Lab and research pages are added to faculty profiles. If you do not have a profile, submit this form selecting the "Faculty Profile" option first. Refer to the research page example (VPN required to view) to assist you in compiling your content. Note: Peer reviewed journal articles and grey literature cannot be stored on wlu.ca, and should be submitted to Laurier's institutional repository (contact scholarscommons@wlu.ca).

Upload a document containing your page content. This needs to include introduction text for your research page (a minimum word count of 300 is required).

Your page content can also include:

List of research projects (e.g. a summary of the project, research outputs and any related research centres, partners, funders for each project).
Name and URL to any research centres or funded research project(s) related to your research.
Name of individuals or corporations who have funded your research.
Name(s) of research partners involved with the lab or research as a whole.
Information about current students or alumni involved with your research (e.g. name, role in lab/project, area of concentration, year of study, email, LinkedIn, headshot).

Profile photos will be cropped by the web team to 350px by 350px.

Guidelines: Must be a high-res photo. Headshots only (no graphics). Candid shots (e.g. out in the field, speaking at a conference, etc.) are allowed if your face is clearly visible. If you do not have a headshot, the space will be filled by a placeholder image (the Laurier leaf). The best clothing option for a headshot is a bright, solid-colour top (avoid black, white, and busy patterns).
